OPPO A72 with 5G support now officially launched
Compared to its initial model, the 5G variant of the A72 has some changes in its specs which is going to be a good news for some and not so good news for the others depending on their preferences. For example, in the camera department, the original model sports four cameras on the back with 48MP primary sensor while the 5G model downgrades it to just tripe camera setup with 16MP primary shooter. The selfie camera gets a downgrade too from 16MP to 8MP.
If you don't care much about the camera and would like to have a much faster network connectivity support and smooth display, then the 5G model maybe the one you need.
In terms of the processor, there is also a difference between the two. From Snapdragon 665 SoC, it now has MediaTek Dimensity 720 processor right out of the box. This chip is accompanied by 8GB of RAM and 128GB internal storage. The battery size has been watered down as well, from 5000mAh to 4040mAh.
