We can now receive our SSS claims and benefits through PayMaya
Starting today, SSS members in the Philippines are now enabled to receive the proceeds from their benefit claims safely, conveniently, and directly to their PayMaya accounts. This eliminates the need to go outside, claim the check, and deposit or cash it to a bank's branch. This is made possible, thanks to PayMaya and SSS partnership.
SSS members only need to enroll their PayMaya accounts through the My.SSS member portal at http:///member.sss.gov.ph by entering their PayMaya-registered mobile number under the "Account Number" field at the Bank Enrollment portion of the portal.
PayMaya said that at the moment, funeral and unemployment claims, among others may be coursed through their PayMaya account. And then soon, more claims will be added in the service such as calamity, salary, and other loan proceeds.
"As the country deals with the effects of the pandemic, our digitalization efforts at SSS become a crucial part in ensuring that we deliver not just continuous but also safe service to all of our members. We are glad to continue expanding our partnership with PayMaya not just in allowing electronic payments of member contributions but in the fast and safe disbursement of their benefits as well," said Aurora Cruz-Ignacio President and CEO of SSS.
"SSS has been one of the leading government agencies aggressively implementing digitalization of their services, and we're glad to enable them with our end-to-end digital platforms so that their members can conveniently and safely transact with them wherever they are," added OrlandoB. Vea, Founder and CEO of PayMaya.
PayMaya has been doing a lot of work especially in this time of the pandemic by providing Filipinos a way to make transactions in the new normal, by going cashless. Cashless and contactless payment transactions help a lot in reducing the spread of the virus. Using PayMaya, we are enabled to send and receive money from fellow PayMaya users, buy prepaid loads, do bank transfers, and even pay our SSS and BIR dues with balikbayad or cashback up to 100%.
Through partnership with various national agencies and local government units, PayMaya has helped disburse more than Php1.4 billion in financial aid to their respective constituents through digital means, allowing recipients to quickly and safely receive funds using only their mobile phones.
