Star Wars: The Bad Batch series

If you are or were watching the recently-concluded Star Wars: The Clone Wars animated series, you have most likely enjoyed watching the new characters introduced in the series - the Bad Batch which is a group of elite and experimental clones with more enhanced specific skills. Well, they are having their own spinoff animated series on Disney+ that is officially set to arrive in 2021.

Disney Plus, in partnership with Lucasfilm, has just announced the Star Wars: The Bad Batch series, a direct spinoff animated show of The Clone Wars. This officially joins the growing number of series that Disney+ is adding to its arsenal that are based on the Star Wars universe. The Mandalorian, for example, was a success that its season 2 is already coming soon with the season 3 already in the works according to reports. There is also an upcoming one that will focus on rebel spy named Cassian Andor who is one of the main characters in the Rogue One film and will be portrayed by the same actor in the movie. Then of course the much anticipated Obi-Wan Kenobi series that will also be played by the same actor who gave life to it in the Star Wars films, Ewan McGregor.

Star Wars: The Bad Batch series

"The series follows the elite and experimental clones of the Bad Batch (first introduced in The Clone Wars) as they find their way in a rapidly changing galaxy in the immediate aftermath of the Clone War. Members of Bad Batch - a unique squad of clones who vary genetically from their brothers in the Clone Army - each possess a singular exceptional skill, which makes them extraordinary effective soldiers and formidable crew. In the post-Clone War era, they will take on daring mercenary missions as they struggle to stay afloat and find new purpose."

The Star Wars: The Bad Batch will be released sometime in 2021 on Disney Plus streaming platform, that's a great news for Star Wars fans around the world. The only not so good news, is that the streaming service is still not available in the Philippines. Hopefully it will be by the time these Star Wars series are available by next year.
