realme 8 teaser photo

Okay, the follow up to last year's realme 7 and 7 Pro series is starting to see the light of day with the very first official teaser image coming from none other than its CEO himself, Madhav Sheth! And yes it is the photo that you see above. The image shows the back side of the realme 8 Pro. The image itself is taken on the realme 8 Pro as specified in the watermark with a staggering 108MP main camera.

Not only that we get an official first look at the upcoming Pro version of the realme smartphone offering, if you have not noticed yet, the retail box right behind the device shows key specs of its sibling - the realme 8.

There we can see that the vanilla realme 8 will finally sport a Super AMOLED display panel with 6.3-inch screen. On the inside, powering the device will be a MediaTek Helio G95 gaming processor. No mention of the RAM sizes but it is most likely to come in multiple variants just like the previous realme models. And speaking of current and older models, the upcoming realme 8 series will also sport quad-camera set up. On the realme 8, as per the retail box again, it is mounted with a 64MP AI quad-camera set-up.

We can also see there a massive 5000mAh battery that will be powering the smartphone and with it is a 30W Dart Charge.

Based on the key specs shown in the retail box, the realme 8 device is already an exciting upcoming smartphone offering from realme. That being said, we can expect even more advanced technical specifications and features on the Pro model, one being the main camera sensor on the back which is a 108MP Samsung ISOCELL HM2 lens capable of 9 to 1 pixel binning technology. Like the previous realme models in this category, these devices will focus more on the gaming and photography side of things which are realme devices are known for.

As of posting, realme has not announced when these devices will formally launch except for the words that say "coming soon." How soon? well some reports say as early as end of March 2021. So stay tuned.
