How to Apply for a GCash Debit Card

If you have been using your GCash account quite a lot these days for paying your bills and making daily purchases and payments both online and offline, perhaps it's also a good idea to apply for a GCash Mastercard. It is a debit card that will be linked to your GCash account. And like any other debit card, you can use this for purchases as well as for cash withdrawals from your GCash account using an ATM machine. 

Being a Mastercard, you can also use this card at all stores accepting Mastercard not just in the Philippines but also abroad. 

So how you can apply for and get one? 

• On your GCash app tap "View All"
• Scroll down and tap "Cash Out"
• Tap "Deliver"
• Fill out the order form and tap "Next"
• Select "Pay"
• A prompt will appear confirming your order

Once the card is delivered to you, you will have to link it first to your GCash account before start using. The parcel it will come in will include that instruction on how to link. In case you need it again, see the following instructions. 

How to link the Mastercard to GCash account

• On your GCash app, tap "Profile"
• Select "Linked Accounts"
• Tap "Add a Card"
• Enter the 6-digit code sent to your registered mobile number
• Tap "Submit"
• Enter last four digits of GCash Mastercard number
• Key in the 12-digit Virtual Account Number found on the back of the card
• Click "Next"
• Assign a 6-Digit PIN (used for withdrawals and transactions)
• Confirmation page will appear

Please note that this is only available to fully verified GCash account users. Does it cost anything to apply for one? According to GCash itself, yes and that's Php150 for getting the card plus Php65 for the shipping fee. Delivery timeframe is around two weeks.
