Confirmed: HONOR 80 Series Features a Whopping 160MP Camera
This coming November 23, in China, HONOR is going to have a even where they will officially launch its upcoming and most anticipated smartphone offerings - the Magic Vs foldable smartphone and the HONOR 80 5G device. As we get closer and closer to the launch date, HONOR has been teasing fans with more and more details about the up and coming HONOR 80 series smartphone. The latest? It will be equipped with a whopping 160MP main camera, thanks to the latest teaser photo that the brand released.
The HONOR 80 Series is expected to come with four members namely the vanilla model, SE, Pro and a Pro+ variant. Of the four models, the HONOR 80 Pro+ one is rumored to come with that 160MP rear camera.
The photo you see here was recently posted by HONOR itself on their Weibo account. Although we don't exactly see in the image about the 160MP camera feature, at least in the language that we can understand, GSMArena.com said that according to machine translator, the Chinese texts at the bottom of the poster means the smartphone "Supports up to 160MP". Whatever the real deal is, we will know on November 23.
The poster, as you can see, gives us a first look at the front panel of the device. It is assumed that this the Pro+ model. And in here, we see that it sports a front camera situated at the center reminiscent of iPhone 14 Pro Max's Dynamic Island. It is not confirmed yet as to what the front camera will offer, but rumors suggest that it could house a dual selfie camera with 50MP main one.
Additionally, HONOR also previously confirmed that the Honor 80 model will be powered by Snapdragon 782G processor and the Honor 80 Pro with a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip. The series are expected to come pre-installed with MagicOS, too.
