Entry-Level HUAWEI nova Y61 Begins Pre-Order on Nov 25

Initially had a global launch early this month, the brand new and entry-level smartphone called Huawei nova Y61 will be released in the Philippines as well. And to kick this off, Huawei Philippines just posted a photo on its Facebook page announcing that pre-order for the said nova Y61 phone begins on November 25, 2022. 

No mention of the SRP yet and if the pre-order will come with any freebie at all. It appears though that the 6GB + 64GB model will be released locally, and will be available in all three nice-looking colorways - Midnight Black, Mint Green, and Sapphire Blue. 

One of the main highlights of this nova Y61s is its triple rear camera with a main shooter pegged at 50MP. The other two rear cameras, according to Huawei, will come with 4cm macro and 2MP depth sensors. On the front is a 5MP camera sitting in the waterdrop-like notch. Another thing being highlighted on this phone is the massive 5000mAh battery pack with a 22.5W HUAWEI SuperCharge.

With this massive of a battery and fast charge technology, Huawei claims that users will be able to watch for about 6 hours on a 30-min. The 22.5W HUAWEI SuperCharge comes with Battery Safety Assistant and 20-Layer Battery Protection. 

On the software side of it, the Huawei nova Y61 runs on EMUI 12 OS based on Android OS. Like any other Huawei smartphones, this one does not come with Google Mobile Services, so there is no Google Play access. Instead, it will come pre-installed with Huawei's very own AppGallery where users will be able to download apps from.

For now, only pre-order date has been unveiled. No official pricing and no exact release or availability date yet. Stay tuned for that. 

UPDATE

Users can now pre-order this phone with an SRP of Php7,999. Every pre-order from offline stores, Lazada and Shopee, will come with a mug as freebie worth Php999.
