Dimensity 700-Powered vivo Y55s 5G Launched Globally

vivo Y55s 5G

Initially launched in China in 2021, the new vivo Y55s 5G has gone official in the global smartphone scene. Unveiled in Taiwan, this device is slightly different than that of China-version, it has a smaller 5000mAh battery pack. The rest are technically identical.

The vivo Y55s 5G 2023 boasts a 6.58-inch FullHD+ LCD display, which translates to 2408 x 1080 resolution. There is no 90Hz refresh rate on this one, instead a standard-and-now-getting-outdated 60Hz refresh rate. Underneath is a MediaTek Dimensity 700 processor and comes in either 4GB or 6GB RAM. In the storage department, looks like there is only one 128GB option and the microSD card support is nowhere to be seen.

As the name suggests, the phone is capable of 5G connectivity in addition to the 4G LTE. For mobile photography, users will get to enjoy 50MP + 2MP dual camera set up with LED flash and then on the front is an 8MP selfie camera.
