Alongside the Redmi K30 Pro and K30 Pro Zoom launch, Xiaomi also took the center stage and officially unveiled its brand new smart TV offering. The said television product is formally called Redmi Smart TV MAX and it boasts a monstrous 98-inch 4K LCD display. The TV is about 70 kilograms in weight in case you wonder.

The Redmi Smart TV MAX is such an enormous TV set that Xiaomi includes dimensions for doors and staircases so you can make sure if you can actually purchase one bring it to your house. And that a team of technical personnel will be sent by the company to help you with the installation.

Its massive 98-inch panel is equipped with 4K LCD display resolution. That's equivalent to 3840 x 2160 pixel arrangement across the screen. This also sports 64Hz refresh rate, HDR certification, covers approximately 85% of the NTSC color rating. On the software side, the TV MAX is running on Xiaomi's own PatchWall OS based on Android TV.

Powering the TV is a Cortex-A55 Amlogic T972 processor with 4GB of RAM and 64GB internal storage. Now it also has the usual connectivity options like HMDI, USB, AV, Ethernet and it supports Bluetooth and WiFi as well.

Pricing and Availability

The Redmi Smart TV Max is officially priced at 19,999 Chinese Yuan. That's about Php145,000 when converted to our local currency. And that's actually pretty cheap compared to other massive smart TVs out there. The only problem though is that it is currently exclusive to the Chinese market beginning April 9. There is no word yet if this will make its way to the international market including the Philippines.
