Like what I mentioned on my previous post about the official announcement of the MyPhone Rio 2 smartphone, MyPhone unveiled two new Rio devices where the second and trimmed down version is simply called the MyPhone Rio 2 Lite. This phone too received a number of specs upgrades and still priced for under Php5k.
There are a few changes and enhancements we see on the new Rio 2 Lite, the RAM, rear camera, mobile OS, internal storage and battery size are the ones being upgraded.
The screen sports a 4.7" WVGA IPS displa, but unlike Rio 2 there is no Gorilla Glass found on this one nor even Full Lamination Technology. The processor remains the same at 1.3GHx quad-core which again most likey a MediaTek. The RAM has been doubled now sitting at 1GB. Internal storage gets users with 8GB right out of the box and can still be expanded via microSD card up to 64GB. See more specs below.
According to YugaTech.com both smartphones will have free Globe SIM card with free 100MB of data every month for one year.
