The local tech company MyPhone is yet to release another Rio-named smartphone this year. Some fellow tech bloggers such as YugaTech spotted a new product page on MyPhone's website. The newly listed device is simply called the Rio Junior 3G.
On the MyPhone website, it says that the Rio Junior 3G will sport 3.5" capacitive display, 1.3GHz dual-core processor and camera configurations of 1.3MP and 0.3MP rear and back respectively. And then powered by Android 4.4.2 OS right out of the box. The site did not mention the internal storage size but indicated that it can support up to 32GB of microSD card.
Now on YugaTech post today, additional details were mentioned and comparison between this and the original Rio Junior smartphones and even with the other Rio Craze 3G. Below are the other specs as posted by YugaTech on top of the ones that are officially listed on the MyPhone website.
MyPhone Rio Junior 3G specs:
- 480 x 320 Resolution, 165 ppi
- 512MB RAM
- 4GB internal storage
- Dual-SIM, Dual Standby
- WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS
- FM Radio
YugaTech even stated that the MyPhone Rio Junior 3G will be priced Php2,199 and will come with free 150MB worth of data every month for a year, most likely via Globe.
I also checked MyPhone's official Facebook page and nothing is posted there about the new smartphone. So it could be just a matter of waiting to hear an official announcement from MyPhone itself at least via their FB page.
