The new Alcatel OneTouch Flash Plus is coming to Lazada on May 15, 2015 at exactly 12noon. Just in case you do not know yet, this is one of the most anticipated budget-centered smartphones in the tech scene since its announcement earlier this year, that's of course mainly because of the specs it comes with and the price tag it bears. So if you plan to get one, make sure everything is ready and make sure your index finger and internet connections are fast enough to process the order. It's pretty sure to be sold out in less than an hour or less.
This smartphone offers a massive 5.5-inch 720p IPS display and features an OGS Full Lamination technology which is something we don't usually see on most of the smartphones of today. This particular OGS Full Lamination feature simply makes the viewing and navigation experience more enhanced and more smoothly making the display and icons look closer to the screen like fingers can almost touch them. Dragontrail Glass is also on board making the screen scratch and damage resistant.
If there is one thing I could think of not that desirable about this Flash Plus, that would be the display resolution which is not Full HD. I have used smartphones with HD before and I was very satisfied with it, now I believe it would be much more brighter and clearer than a normal 720p with the implementation of these new on-screen technologies. But with the rest of the specs, it's a steal for its price tag of just Php6,490.
Moving on with the internals, there is the octa-core Mediatek processor clocked at 1.5GHz, 2GB of RAM and a 16GB internal storage. It's very rare even nowadays we see smartphones with less than Php7k price that offer those trio in the same configurations, another more reason to buy this device.
The cameras here add even more pogi-points to this Alcatel Flash Plus smartphone. On the back sits a 13MP main camera with autofocus, f/2.2 aperture, LED flash and Sony IMX214 image sensor to name a few of the camera features that made their way to this smartphone. On the front panel there is the 8MP lens equipped with f/2.4 and 84-degree wide angle lens. These shooters promise and should be able to perform very well in low-light conditions.
Right out of the box the Flash Plus will run on Android 4.4.4 Kitkat, but it's powered by a 64-bit processor and if I am to believe of what I have read so far, Alcatel is going to release an Android Lollipop update in the near future. The regular connectivity like WiFi, Bluetooth and stuff are on board as well including the widely demanded USB OTG support.
That's not all yet, it's a dual-SIM device and since it so happens to support LTE network, Alcatel made this smartphone support dual-LTE standby. That means users can run the two SIM slots on LTE at the same time without a problem. The battery is also another steal here where it sports a 3,500mAh battery juice which promises to last up to 28 hours when playing music and up to 20 days on standby mode. This big should be enough to power me atleast for one whole day with average to heavy usage.
