As expected new ZenFone smartphones are coming our way that were just officially announced at yesterday's Asus ZenFestival event in India. In total there are three new devices to be released and those are the ZenFone 2 Deluxe, ZenFone 2 Laser and the ZenFone Max which houses an insanely 5,000mAh battery pack inside it.
This should make those users who look for phones with more power to offer than just high-calibrated specs happier. Although, based on the released technical specifications the ZenFone Max does not actually offer flagship level features but are more than enough for an average cellphone users especially those who want nothing but bigger battery juice.
Speaking of specs, a lot of them are still kept under wraps but for now what most of us know is that the ZenFone Max, apart from the massive battery also offers the following hardwares...
Asus ZenFone Max specs:
- 5.5 IPS display
- Corning Gorilla Glass 4
- Snapdragon 410 processor
- 2GB RAM
- 13MP rear camera with f/2.0 and laser autofocus and dual-tone LED flash
- 5MP front camera
- 5,000mAh Battery
The resolution is not disclosed yet but some are suggesting it could be at least 720p one protected by a Corning Gorilla Glass 4 layering. The processor is a not-so-high-end Snapdragon 410 with 2GB of RAM we don't know the clocking here but most likely it is a quad-core chip. Given the battery life is alot bigger than most known smartphones out there and these set of specs, I can now imagine the device to last more than 2 to 3 days on a single charge. I hope I am right about that.
Another information I almost forgot about the hefty battery is that it has the ability to charge other devices when connected to it, like a normal power bank does. So that's a plus.
Now for photo takers out there, the ZenFone Max has generous camera configurations. The rear snapper comes with a 13MP resolution and powered with laser autofocus, f/2.0 aperture and a dual-tone LED flash, then the secondary shooter is at 5MP with wide angle lens.
Pricing is still to be announced but Asus said we can expect the ZenFone Max to arrive on the market this October.
