Once again, Davao Bloggers Society has been invited by Starbucks Philippines at one of their coffee shops in the city, SM City Davao, to introduce their new menu line-up for this Summer. As usual, it was an exciting and fun event where we had a chance to be the first to sink our teeth into Starbucks' upcoming offerings.
DugomPinoy and the members of Davao Bloggers Society welcome the two new Starbucks drinks that offer a unique twist on chocolate and tea, Chocolate Black Tea with Earl Grey Jelly and Double Chocolate Green Tea Frappuccino Blended Beverages. These two will be available at your favorite Starbucks shops starting June 7, 2016 and will be offered all the way until July 25, 2016.
A blend of Kenyan Tea leaves and chocolate infused into a smooth and delicious Black Tea Frappuccino. This beverage starts with a layer of refreshing and aromatic Earl Grey Jelly then topped with a smooth Black Tea frappuccino with chocolate Java Chips and finished with whipped cream and a springkle of chocolate Black Tea powder.
Double Chocolate Green Tea Frappuccino Blended Beverage:
This beverage is a Green Tea frappuccino infused with crunchy Java Chips layered with a smooth chocolate sauce at the top and bottom of the cup. It is then topped with whipped cream and a light dusting of Green Tea powder.
The event kicked off with iced coffee blend tasting, and the coffee was personally prepared by ourselves with the help from Rael, District Coffee Master of Starbucks Davao. It was a fun coffee tasting session as we leared a lot on how to mix and make iced cold coffee from Starbucks. After that we were also introduced to Starbucks' upcoming food offering in addition to the two featured blended frappuccinos. These coffees and food are perfectly partnered and enjoyed side by side.
Purple Yam Cheesecake: A silken smooth, yet light cheesecake swirled with purple yam and red mung bean and macapuno. An indulgent dessert.
Breakfast Pancakes: The perfect meal to start your busy day. Three light and fluffy breakfast pancakes served with maple-flavoredsyrup, bbutter and jam. Best served warm.
Sausage and Spinach on Focaccia Bread: Crusty and soft bread filled with creamy spinach and sliced Italian sausage.
Chicken Parmigiana Wrap: A tortilla wrap filled with baked chicken fillet, parmesan, and mozzarella cheese, roasted eggplant and pomodoro sauce.
Chicken Milk Bun: A soft and toasty milk bun filled with mouthwatering smoked sesame chicken fillet topped with sweet cookie crumbs.
Go Lite! Chips: Starbucks knows you are going to love the guilt-free experience of Go Lite! Sweet Maui Onion Cassava Popped Chips are gluten free, trans-fat free and only 100 calories per bag. It is best paired with their sandwiches.
Limited edition cards are always part of every new Starbucks' menu and offerings, and this time is no exception to that. If you love collecting Starbucks Cards, you would definitely love to have these two added to your growing collection. The Scales Card and the Vivienne Tam + Starbucks Card.
The Scales Card: Inspired by Starbucks' Siren's tail, this special blue fish scales design will make a colorful splash this season. Will be available starting June 7, 2016 with an initial consumable load amount of Php3,00.
Vivienne Tam + Starbucks Card: In collaboration with Vivienne Tam, this limited edition Starbucks Card is inspired by her iconic "Bird and Flora" print. This showcases Tam's East-Meets-West approach to design, that effortlessly blends cultural roots with modern design vocabulary. This one will be offered beginning July 1, 2016 and will come with an initial consumable load amount of Php1,000.
Also will be limitedly offer from June 7 to Juy 25 of this year are the featured coffee blends and reserves, allowing us to conveniently brew our own refreshing coffee at the comfort of our home.
Kape Vinta Blend: A blend of the coffees from the Asia/Pacific region, including coffee from the Philippines, Kape Vinta Blend is full-bodied and mellow with early flavors. Complimentary flavors: chocolates, nuts, and cinnamon.
Starbucks Reserve Colombia San Fermin: Tolima is in the foothills of the Central Muontain range, one of the three branches of the Colombian Andes. The topography is very rugged and mountainous and runs north of Cauca and due west of Huila. Colombia San Fermin, a fully washed coffee growing at high elevations of 1600 - 2000 meters, delivers a sparkling acidity with tropical papaya notes and black currant as refreshing iced as it is when served hot.
Starbucks Reserve Cape Verde: This coffee highlights a sparkling acidity, with delicate floral aromas that has an immediate and lingering sweetness. Starbucks is excited to see the bright future of coffees from Cape Verde Fogo Island.
