ASUS ZenFone Max Pro M2 Will Be Launched in PH on Dec 11

While the current year is almost over, ASUS is not yet done in releasing smartphone offerings for 2018. That is because at least one more phone will be launched next week December 11th in the country. The device has been officially called ZenFone Max Pro M2.

The said launch date was just confirmed by ASUS Philippines itself on their Facebook page giving us a full look at the phone's front and back panels with an official hashtag that says #ReimagineTheMax. The post invites the company's ZenFans to join them on December 11. If I am guessing it right, it appears they will be doing a livestream party again on the said date as what they have done with some of their latest releases this year.

So far, the teasers that ASUS PH has been posting on their social media page about this smartphone have been very exciting. First off, the ZenFone Max Pro M2 now sports a brand new look as we can see in the promotional image above. For example, it now has a notched screen and what what appears to be a shiny back panel, possibly made of glass or metal, with curved edges. And yes, those are some design languages that we have not seen on a ZenFone Max device since the series' debut a couple of years ago.

Being a ZenFone Max smartphone, we expect this device to sport a massive battery pack that's around 5000mAh which promises to provide days of battery life and of course the reverse charging feature that the ZenFone Max series has been uniquely offering ever since first installment.

Other rumored specs include Snapdragon 660 processor and RAM as much as 6GB, a 64GB native storage is also being expected here. Corning Gorilla Glass 6 screen protection which is the same glass material found on the ASUS ROG Phone. And most likely a stock version of Android 8.1 Oreo just like on its ZenFone Max Pro M1 predecessor.
